This Charger automaticaly senses how charged the battery is and will charge at the required rate, once the battery is charged the charger switches over to "Float Charge" which is a low trickle charge that keeps the battery full charged when it is left connected.

Red = Main Charge
Yellow = Final Charge
Green = Float charge.
