Leisure batteries are deep cycle batteries, this means that they can be discharged a lot more then normal car batteries without damaging the cells. They are designed to be used with caravans, boats and mobile homes.
The Choice of battery should be made to optimise the power to weight ratio: therefore in order to calculate the power requirements, multiply the current requirement of each appliance (in amps) by the typical time in hours that they will be in use. Finally add all the amp/hour ratings together and check which battery's capacity matches that figure.
