All Ni-Cd batteries that we supply are sold for use within the Emergency Lighting market, we do not sell Ni-Cd batteries for markets or uses that fall outside the exemptions of current government legislation.

Battery packs built in house by our workshop at The Battery Shop.

All Batteries, Battery packs and other items that have the prefix "TBS" are made or modified to order in our workshop.

These products will have a lead time for assembly, the length of this lead time will vary depending on the product, quantity ordered and current work schedule of orders in our workshop, most orders we turn around in 3-5 days however at busy periods or larger quantities this may be extended.

Please ensure that you are ordering the correct product, these products will be made or modified to order and we are unable to cancel orders once they are placed or refund any incorrectly ordered made or modified to order items. This does not affect your ability to return faulty items.

To ensure that you are ordering the correct products always check the battery specification (eg voltage, capacity, chemistry, battery type, connector, etc) against your existing battery.

About our in house production facilities at The Battery Shop

For over 35 years we have, built and modified batteries, battery packs, wiring looms, battery chargers and other related items in our onsite workshop.

We do this for original equipment manufacturers, for fitment in the replacement market, and for bespoke items

We work with Rechargeable Ni-Cd, Ni-Mh and VRLA batteries or primary Alkaline and Lithium batteries.

Customisation of Battery packs

If you require battery packs that are not standard we may be able to modify them to order for you.

Some common modifications we make are:

- Fit different connectors. (We stock hundreds of different connectors).

- Fit different specification cables. (eg. single core, multi-strand, low smoke cable, lengthen / shorten cables).

- Fit different styles of tags (we stock and can spot weld various pushfit / faston style tags / solder tags to most battery packs)

- Fitment of mounting Back Plates / End Caps.

- Shrink sleeved battery packs.

- Alternative specification cells may be available. (eg. Higher specification cells for longer run time or alternatives to discontinued cells).
