To do this you will need to do the following:
● Call us with your invoice / order number, we will then take a £30 deposit and collect your battery for testing,
● We will then charge and test the battery, we may also need to return some items to our suppliers for testing.
● If the battery is faulty we will refund your deposit and (if applicable subject to your warranty) send you a new battery or a credit against a new battery.
● If your battery is not faulty we will send the battery back to you or we can safely dispose of the battery.
Alternatively you can drop the battery off to us in store for testing in person where we can run an initial test while you wait, depending on the battery condition you may then need to leave the battery with us for a period while we charge / test / or attempt to recover the battery, some batteries may need to be returned to the manufacturer for testing. Once the battery is tested you will then need to return to collect the battery.
Warranty notes
Batteries sold are sold with a warranty against premature failure due to manufacturing or material defects only.
Due to the high quality of standards of the technical and manufacturing, the number of batteries that fail due to manufacturing defects is negligible.
If the correct battery is used in the right application, the number of battery problems will be minimal and you are unlikely to have a battery problem.
All batteries have a finite life, the life is governed by the conditions under which the battery operates.
Most batteries that fail prematurely do so as a result of sulphation, over charging, over discharging, incorrect fitment, physical damage or deep cycling which are not manufacturing defects and are not covered by the warranty.
All batteries are to be returned to The Battery Shop for testing. This is the responsibility of the customer and not The Battery Shop.
